A new study titled “A Pre-Set Calcium Sulfate/Hydroxyapatite Biomaterial as an Antibiotic-Eluting Bone Extender and a Carrier for BMP-2: A Pilot Study in a Rabbit Posterolateral Spinal Fusion Model” has now been published in the Journal of Functional Biomaterials.
In November 2025, Moroxite AB reported positive outcomes for Xerafuse™ rhBMP-2 and Xerafuse™ Tobramycin in a preclinical spinal fusion study. We are pleased to announce that the full study—including tobramycin pharmacokinetics—has now been published and is available online.
This publication further supports the potential of Xerafuse™, both as a bone graft extender and a local drug delivery system for spinal fusion applications.
